Dan is a counselor for the Utah VA and suffers from Addison's disease, an autoimmune disorder that causes a number of difficulties including fatigue, weakness and neurological troubles. Nick was trained to offer both mobility and psychological support. In addition to aiding Dan directly, Nick also offers support to the veterans Dan counsels.
